The first thing we noticed, upon returning from Africa, was how much we wanted to go back.  I truly believe that if I did not have so much I loved here at Windchase, I could be tempted to run away and live there.  The other thing we found is that you can't really tell someone what it was like if they haven't been there.  It was such an incredible experience that there is no way to adequately describe what it was like.  Therefore, this journal is intended primarily as a record for those of us that were on the trip, so that the memory will stay fresh, and we can look back on it and recall the sights, the sounds, the smells and the feel of Africa.  If it is of some interest to readers who have not been to Africa, but would like to know about the experience, then this writing has been doubly useful.
